Website and Social Media traffic refers to the number of visitors to your website, Facebook, Instagram, etc. Knowing the number of visitors you have is essential because the number of visitors equals the number of opportunities you have to add new customers.

The number of visitors to your website becomes the number of opportunities your business has to:

  • Share your brand
  • Give an impression
  • Build a relationship with your customers
  • Opportunities to generate quality leads 
  • Nurture and help solve their problem 
  • Sell your product or service
  • Gain a new customer or client and continue to increase your business revenue

In the long run, increased web traffic goes far beyond more profit. It should allow you to grow your business, expand your product lines, hire more employees, open new locations, invest in more amazing services and products.

Seasonal Marketing Starts with Keywords Research

Keyword research will provide you with the necessary data to help you choose the best keyword opportunities. Researching keywords will give you a better understanding of how high the demand is for certain keywords.

Keyword research can help you find ideas for your next blog post, learn more about the needs of your audience, and keep up to date with the ever-changing search landscape. Ultimately, by researching the words people type into search engines and using this research to create targeted content, you can drive the right traffic to your site — traffic that is more likely to convert.

Pro-tip: Go a little deeper and back up your keyword list with collected data from Google Trends to know exactly when you should start your campaign.

For instance, if you check the keyword “Christmas gift” with Google Trends, most likely you’ll notice this specific queue starts rising in the middle of October, peaks between the 13th and 19th of December and falls rapidly after Christmas.

Just like that if you can quickly get to know what terms to target for the best results and in what intervals to implement your seasonal campaigns.

Pro-tip: Keyword research isn't just a one-off task. Your website's foundation is built on keywords, so, your website requires regular re-evaluation and maintenance. We suggest running a test every month, at least.

Now that you have intel, let's talk about reverse engineering

Simply put, reverse engineering is the act of analyzing an existing successful process or structure (whether it be a marketing campaign, or the structure of a website) and using the knowledge gained from that analysis to recreate a duplicate or similar system.

Look at your website’s traffic performance backward. Make a year to year comparison and detect when you have your seasonal spikes. Then, try to tie traffic spikes to particular keywords and seasonal backgrounds to understand the correlation and then intentionally use them to drive even better results.
