Episode 54: How to set up goals for your MedSpa

Because we are breaking down the proper way to set profitable and efficient goals inside your practice. 

Pro tip: First things first. Take a look at the current status of your business and start setting goals accordingly!

In previous episodes, we talked about four different stages where your business might be standing, and you need to define where you are to decide the following steps to take to reach the next level. 

Keep in mind that each MedSpa will have its own story, which means that the stages might vary, but in the end, you'll notice that stages are measurable and easy to identify.

First stage: At the very beginning of your story, a brand new MedSpa opens up for the public. 

You are anywhere from 0 to 50,000k yearly revenue. We are talking about a figure that will vary depending on the services you are offering and the kind of business you are thinking about -something small and profitable to live a quiet life with your family or something bigger, looking forward to becoming a franchise.- Right now, you are working by yourself or with a small team of 2 or three people and should be creating the operations that will maintain your practice functioning. You might be double-timing during some time to make sure everything works! But little by little, you should be available to delegate operations and focus on being the cool business owner.

During this first step, your goal should be validating the market and your offer as well. You want to make sure your practice is scalable and find a way to implement systematic techniques to achieve this. Even though you might not have the fonds to invest in advertising, you definitely must find a way to leverage your database, social media, and network. Take your brand out there and do everything you can to spread the word!

We recommend that as soon as you can, start investing in advertising to walk right into the next step!

Pro tip: Little actions will take you to the next stage. Do some networking with other businesses targeting your ideal client! Partnerships will result in growth for your database, and with proper planning, you might even have outstanding events! 

Second stage: Time to keep a good pace, but don't push it too much!

You are now somewhere between 500k and 1 million. You might be in the same small office where you started, made an upgrade to a bigger space, or perhaps adding another small office to your team at another strategic point in your area! 

Now the advertising systems should be your top priority! You are at a point where you spend money to make MORE money. You are investing in technology & human resources to make your patient's journey the best aesthetic experience ever. 

Pro tip: You want to have inbound strategies to bring people in while making sure you have the resources to provide service to all of your incoming patients. You don't want to lose clients because your next available date is super far out by the lack of staff!

Third stage: Now that your brand is the talk of the town, make sure to work smarter, nor harder

Your business can't afford small locations anymore. You set your mind on having multiple places and becoming a total entrepreneur! And that's awesome! Your best bet is to set goals to manage your reliable team to keep your different offices working correctly. It would be best if you didn't lose sight of the solid consultation process that took you here and find a way to continue to provide it to each client that comes through your door. 

Pro tip: It's time to change your mindset. Instead of investing more money over getting new clients, take some time to evaluate your back-end processes, and start focusing on your existing patients to convert them into lifetime clients. You want those satisfied clients to keep coming back and bringing in friends and family! Develop automated inbound patients generation funnels for those existing clients to get some personal calls to action via email and text messages! 

The fourth stage: You are more of a rockstar & aesthetic guru than ever! 

The sky is the limit for you, isn't it?  You absolutely rocked the previous stages and positioned yourself as an aesthetic leader, and you might even be considering franchising to share some of the good stuff! 

Right now, your ideal goals should go around building and maintaining a world-class team that takes the standard operations off your shoulders. Advertising in multiple areas should be up & running in such a way that every time someone talks about an aesthetic service you provide, your brand pops out in the conversation.
